I have a silver Ecu of Louis XVI 1792/3 mm A, the obv erased and engraved as image enclosed.  This item was illustrated (with my permission through a 3rd party) in a book published in France a few years ago, but I never actually saw the reference nor heard from the author whose name I do not know. The book is apparently about coin/token/medal references to family life. Would your contacts be able to help source this book ?
